They Both Go Hand In Hand

Do not think that I will accuse you to the Father: there is one that accuseth you, even Moses, in whom ye trust. For had ye believed Moses, ye would have believed me; for he wrote of me. But if ye believe not his writings, how shall ye believe my words? – John 5:45-47

Many people today say just live in, study and obey the New Testament, that Jesus is the author or a newer and better covenant, that Jesus fulfilled the Old Testament when He died, that the LAW has no power over us.  To the BELIEVER, that is TRUE.   However, the above verses show that the laws of the Old Testament are still in effect today. Whether you believe in Jesus or not, you can’t go around killing people. Exodus 20:13  In fact, if you DO NOT believe in Jesus, you are going to be JUDGED by the laws of the Old Testament and Jesus is not going to be your accuser, MOSES is!

This concludes my notes and thoughts on John Chapter 5

  1. Yes very True Bob we are not to continue to Sin as Scripture confirms and we will not when we are Born Again of God’s seed and Perfected in Love but this is not a message itchy ears want to hear or to believe in but it is indeed God’s Truth as confirmed below and in other Scriptures.

1 John 3:9 No one who is Born of God will continue to Sin, because God’s seed remains in him; he cannot go on Sinning, because he has been Born of God.

1 John 3: 1-11 ( 6-7 ) Whosoever abideth in Him Sinneth not: whosoever Sinneth hath not seen Him, neither known Him. Little children let no man deceive you: he that doeth Righteousness is Righteous, even as He is Righteous.

1 John 5:18-20 We know that no one who is Born of God Sins but He who was Born of God keeps him and the evil one does not touch him. (KJV)

1 John 4:17-19 Herein is our Love made Perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment: because as He is, so are we in this world.

Daniel 12:10 Many shall be purified, and made white, and tried but the wicked shall do wickedly: and none of the wicked shall understand but the wise shall understand.

Yes Moses received the Law and wrote about Jesus so what is written by him if rejected unto death brings judgment because it means those who reject Jesus are still under the Law and rejecting Jesus The Living Word, is the unforgivable Sin, all other Sin is the same and can be forgiven after heart repentance but not Blaspheming The Holy Spirit by calling Him a liar, He tells us Jesus is The LORD, One with The Father and with Him in The Godhead or Trinity as we call Them today, both mean 3 in One.

1 John 5: 7 For there are Three that bear record in Heaven, The Father, The Word, and The Holy Ghost and these Three are One.(K.J.V)

Satan is indeed the great accuser and as he controls this earth he puts us to the test by temping us to do evil but when we are walking in The Fruit of The Spirit no Temptation will be greater than we can bear and by our Righteousness we come close to God and Satan flees.

1 John 5:18-20 We know that no one who is Born of God Sins; but He who was Born of God keeps him, and the evil one does not touch him. We know that we are of God, and that the whole world lies in the power of the Evil One. And we know that the Son of God has come, and has given us understanding so that we may know Him who is True; and we are in Him who is True, in His Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God and Eternal life.
